The IODE/ICAM WORKSHOP ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CARIBBEAN MARINE ATLAS (CMA) was held at United Nations House, Bridgetown, Barbados, 8-10 October 2007. It was organized with financial support by the Government of Flanders (Kingdom of Belgium).
The first oceanographic data management course for the Caribbean Marine Atlas pilot project was held at the IOC Project Office for IODE in Oostende, Belgium between 13 and 20 February 2008.
The Data Mining and Assimilation Course for the Caribbean Marine Atlas Pilot Project was held in Trinidad and Tobago from April 21 - 27, 2008. The workshop was hosted by the University of the West Indies on the St. Agustine campus in Trinidad.
As the final workshop towards the development of the prototype Caribbean Marine Atlas, the Mapserver training course brought together all of the concepts presented and data products developed at earlier workshops, as well as introduced the Mapserver for Windows platform for developing interactive web-based atlases.
